Ruins

This piece went through so many transformations, permutations, transmogrifications before it ended up as this. It's a mashup of my photos of torn paper, cement, asphalt, paint, and a weathered poster on a door in Mexico. The result reminds me of Greek and Roman ruins with just a hint of Rhyolite ghost town! ©Carol Leigh

It has an underwater feeling -- maybe Atlantis. Wonderful how these images materialize from the pieces.

Now that you mention it, yes, it does have an underwater, "Atlantis" feel. I should have called the photo that instead of "Ruins." You're so much more imaginative! --Carol Leigh

Very cool! Love it.

Now that I look at it again, isn't that BP crude boiling up from behind the structure? You could sell this to Rolling Stone for a cover!
