Black Geese

The components of this piece are: photos of old paper, hand-painted indigo paper, Japanese paper, old card stock, an old (1932) matchbox label from Belgium, a photo of splattered paint, and a photo of a card from the post office (the card they put in your post office box when you have a package that's too big and you have to go to the counter to pick it up). I. Love. This. Process. ©Carol Leigh, who is teaching an online class on how to do this beginning next week...

And I love the result.
Beautiful!

I, too, love the results. BTW, where did you get that cool matchbox label ????

Thanks, Elena, for your kind words. This is one that Chris doesn't particularly like, so I was curious what others would think. There are probably lots of others who are just being nice and not saying ANYthing!

And Judy, regarding the matchbox label... I didn't even know there WERE such things until Kathleen A. sent me some as a gift. This is one I got on eBay. I won two bids, one for a small packet of Swedish animals and another of miscellaneous labels from Belgium. Don't know if you've heard the story yet about my most recent bid for matchbox labels. That will be told later in the year, once I've gotten over my embarrassment...

Yes, I do know the story about your bid ... was just a (nasty) comment to prod you a bit ... and am still waiting for Chris to market them.

I THOUGHT you knew, Judy, but I figured, nah, she wouldn't be so nasty as to actually bring it UP! Ha! I have the photos, I have the story, all will be revealed in time. Have to get the Etsy store set up... CL

Now the whole world (well the Creative Edge world anyway) knows my true nature ...
