Snow White

In light of the snow that's hit our country recently — and is about to do so again — I've been photographing a bottle (thank you, Jan H.!) and purposely overexposing it to make it as light and bright as possible. It's a spare, minimalistic look, and it helps clear my head of the madness swirling around me these days. ©Carol Leigh

  1. You have to love this high key work. Glass is so hard to photography. Nice job.

  3. Jan, Judy, and Elena, thank you for your kind words. Methinks this is the kind of stuff one either hates or really likes. Glad that YOU are all such discerning viewers! :-)

  4. Absolutely love the vase with the feather in it. Difficult to do? Your creativity never ends.

  5. Gisela, I put the bottle/feather in front of a diffused light source and then, using my exposure compensation dial, overexposed by two stops. Completed the high-key effect in Photoshop using the Levels slider. Try it! --Carol Leigh
