Silver Birds on Blue

I'm particularly fond of this one. It's composed entirely of photos taken in Tucson, Arizona. The elements consist of a silver bird I found on a wooden door, a screened transom with peeling paint, and tile detail from a front doorstep. I added the ubiquitous scrapes and scratches, blendings and shadings to give the piece depth. Not yet available for sale. ©Carol Leigh For more photomontages, please visit

  1. This one is a departure from the others in that it's brighter and mostly symmetrical. I like it very much. I guess that for me, the darker images are "dark" in the metaphorical sense and I find that I am less attracted to them. I appreciate the artistry and technique nonetheless.

I know it takes time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it when you do. Thanks!
