A month of hearts: February 28

Taken in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I particularly liked the dramatic shadow, which adds interest and sets off the heart nicely.

I am happy to see this "month of hearts" come to an end. I don't know why I do things like this, frankly, but it's been a short month and I've certainly had a plethora of heart images to show.

I have a "Photomotivation" group going over in Facebook, and this month's assignment for everyone has ALSO been hearts, so I've been inundated not only with my own images, but with pictures from 70 other people. They've posted some really good ones, and it makes me happy to encourage them to all be out there looking and photographing, or drawing, or quilting, or whatever...

If you would like to participate in the Photomotivation group on Facebook, let me know and I'll include you in the mix. It's not a "class," but a lot of info is shared regarding improving and creating.

See you next month! I am now officially "heartless."

  1. I would like to participate in photomotivation. You may not remember me, but I took most of your workshops and online classes years ago. Am planning a trip to San Diego (for my 70th!) thus tear and pulled out my journal from 11 years ago when your DYCE group had our reunion. Did some surfing and found this blog.

  2. Jan! Where the heck have you BEEN?! I’ve missed you, have looked for you now and then online, but you had disappeared and I feared the worst. Yes, puh-leeeeeeeze join us in Photomotivation — it’s a Facebook thing, so I hope you’ve got an account with them. Oh, my. The second arch in the Alabama Hills, you rented a convertible in Santa Fe (or was it Tucson?). It will be great to have you back in the mix. Penguins, tanzanite, Parts is Parts, SF Zoo . . . and if this isn’t you, well then, is my face RED! Please send me a private e-mail with your e-mail address. xoxo

  3. Its me all right. email is Ive missed you as well. Loved your workshops. Are you now on Whidbey island? I will have to reactivate my Facebook account, I had to stop using when I was still working - long story, had to do with a lawsuit against my employer. Looking forward to having photo "assignments" will have to fight with my granddaughter for use of my camera. BTW I am now retired.

I know it takes time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it when you do. Thanks!
