Two Gulls

A gull painted on a fence in Newport, Oregon caught my eye. It apparently was painted a very long time ago -- both it and the fence are weathered and worn. I gave him a mate and then created a background from a lichen-covered boulder I photographed on the Maine coast. Bicoastal gulls . . . Not yet for sale. ©Carol Leigh

This recent photomontage is the result of photographing an old rusty car in Washington and then combining it with numerous permutations of an old rusty 7up advertising sign I found in San Diego. Everything is old, worn, scratched and scraped. I added additional wear, blendings, splotches, and grime to come up with this composition.
