What is it about windows that attract us? Especially ones we can't peek through, on old buildings, and with broken glass?
They are a mystery, an unseen world, a view into something unknown. And if there's a pigeon on the windowsill, well, for a photographer that's BONUS!
Taken in Bellingham, Washington.
UPDATE: We were back in Bellingham a couple of days later and the windows are now all boarded up. Heavy sigh.
*With apologies to Gertrude Stein, for transmogrifying her famous poem, "Pigeons on the grass alas."

From the passenger seat of a parked car
This restaurant had some very cool light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Very cool.
Sitting outside in the car, I looked over at the restaurant's exterior wall and had a different view of the lights, through a large window. It helped that the exterior wall was a complementary deep orange color that framed the blue.
I like the triangular shadowing up top, and how its slight diagonal tilt echoes the dark diagonal line lower left.
How lazy can I get? I'm sitting in a car, looking out the window. Click. Works for me!

First from Santa Fe . . .
This window, on some sort of innocuous governmental building on a side street in Santa Fe, caught my eye. It looked sort of funky, out of place on an austere, beige building.
It looked old on new. So I reversed the concept.
Now it looks new(ish) on old. Yet it's still rustic enough that it looks okay.
There are hundreds of photos for me to sift through, and it's going to take a long time to become comfortable with all the various little bits and pieces I photographed before I can begin bringing them together in new and different ways.
It's overwhelming at the moment. But this, too, shall pass. May we all have such small problems!
