Beware . . .

"Beware the barrenness of a busy life." - Socrates

  1. I love these ink-washed papers you use, Carol. Where do I get them other than going to Japan for a workshop?! Edie

  2. Edie, I'm not sure I'm even going to be able to find something similar in Japan! I was incredibly fortunate to receive some as a gift, and they were very old. You could make your own, however, by buying rice paper (I've found some at Dick Blick). Maybe stain it with coffee or tea. Then take a big brush and black ink, or even some black thinned-down acrylic paint, and make sweeping gestures across the paper. I've not tried doing it, nor have I heard of anybody else doing it, but that's how I'd attempt making my own if I wanted to... Will it work? I don't know!

I know it takes time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it when you do. Thanks!
