Daily Photo 20190102 Small Collage

This morning I went into the studio and made this small collage, which I'm planning to use on one of the pages in the Japanese books I'm making.

The collage consists of a used teabag, some papers that I stamped with a variety of hanko signature "chops," a scrap of mulberry mango leaf paper, and a strip from an envelope I made a few years ago.

Day #2 and I've not yet lost interest in my Daily Photo project! Just 363 days left . . .

  1. Love the texture you've created in this collage. And am wondering about the size, the teabag I'm assuming must be the rectangular patch of tan behind the strips of color and texture. Small but powerful collage!

  2. Actually, the collage started small, but got progressively bigger and I think I'm going to have to take it apart to use on a Japanese book page. The teabag is sitting on an 8x10 piece of handmade paper and then everything else sits on top of that. Nothing is cemented together -- I just placed the pieces on top of one another and took a shot. The bits have now been disassembled and are scattered around my studio.

I know it takes time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it when you do. Thanks!
